These treatments can induce changes in the structure & focusing in the eye to reduce stress and fatigue associated with the development and progression of short-sightedness.

Why should you be interested in Myopia Management?

Slowing the progression of myopia may keep your child from developing high levels of short-sightedness that require the wearing of thick corrective glasses.

It may also help prevent the development of serious eye problems later in life, such as early cataracts, myopic macular degeneration, or even a detached retina.

What are the options for my child?

However we also strive to offer the very best in young patient care & myopia management is now considered the best practice for young myopes. We are now fully accredited in myopia management using glasses & contact lenses.

It is safe & convenient as they are just like wearing normal spectacle lenses!

1. Glasses

Miyosmart spectacle lens developed by Hoya using an award-winning D.I.M.S (Defocus Incorporated Multiple Segments) technology to slow the progression of myopia on children.

2. Daily Contact Lenses

Dual focus lenses such as MiSight 1 Day are worn during the day to correct vision and slow down the progression of short sightedness in Children. MiSight 1 is just like a soft daily disposable contact lens but with special optical design proven to slow down the speed at which short sightedness progresses.

3. Contact Lenses worn at night – Ortho K

The orthokeratology lenses that are part of the Menicon Bloom treatment plan are called Bloom Night lenses. They help slow the progression of Myopia while also correcting vision for the day. Your child will wear the lenses while they sleep gently reshaping the outer layer of the cornea to give corrected vision during the day without the need for glasses or contact lenses.
